Dogs, just like humans, can get cavities, bad breath and teeth problems. Two of most common problems with dogs that do not have an oral hygeine routine are loose teeth and abscesses in and around the mouth. One of the best ways to combat this is to first of all feed your dog dry food and give them plenty of hard bones to chew on, this often can help to keep his teeth healthier. A great option to help avoid those costly vet bills is too have your dogs teeth brushed several times a year. The grooming room offer a range of pet oral health products such as brushes, doggy toothpaste and specifically design chews.
Does your dog have bad breath?
Studies show that 98% of dogs with bad breath are suffering from periodontal disease, a result of plaque build-up. If left untreated, this can lead to a bacterial infection, which can enter the bloodstream and spread to your dog's kidney, liver, heart and even its brain. Chances are if your dog has very bad breath, there is a problem with his teeth.
At The Grooming Room we offer a teeth brushing service where your dog will receive:
A thorough brush using doggy toothpaste and a triple headed tooth brush, which is specially designed to brush and clean front back and sides of the teeth and gums.
£5.00 per session.
A dog’s moist ear is an ideal breeding ground for bacteria and fungus. Also ear mite's live in the dark and moist areas in your dog ears where bacteria and fungus can cause severe itching. Cleaning the ears should be made a part of the dog’s grooming routine. The accumulation of ear wax and debris in the dog’s L-shaped ear canal can result in infection. Apart from the unpleasant odor that will emanate from the ears, the pain will make the pet uncomfortable. These infections can be prevented if the dog’s ears are regularly cleaned.
Although ear cleaning is included in all of our package grooms, it is also available as an individual service where your pet will receive:
A thorough ear clean with professional ear cleaning products which removes all dirt, wax and debris priced at £3.50.
